Authentic Greek Lemon Chicken Makes the Best Greek Barbecue
A simple, Greek chicken dish featuring lemon and oregano. A lovely, mild dish which all members of your family will enjoy.

Ingredients
- 4 chicken, fillets
- 2tbsp olive oil
- 1tsp salt, ground sea
- 1tsp black pepper, ground
- 2tsp oregano, dried
Lemon Oregano Dressing
- 1/4cup olive oil
- 1 lemonjuice only
- 1/4tsp oregano, dried
- 1/2tsp salt, ground sea
- 1tsp black pepper, ground
Instructions
- Pre-heat the BBQ grill (flatplate) or broiler
- Coat the chicken fillets with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper and oregano.
- Grill the chicken for about 10 minutes, turning once about half way through. Use a knife to Test the chicken is done but not overcooked. Remove to a warm place and cover loosely with foil.
- While the chicken is cooking mix all the dressing ingredients together.
- Thickly slice the chicken fillets on the diagonal, apply about half the dressing on the chicken and the other half on your lettuce leaves and tomatoes.
Recipe Notes
You can also serve authentic Greek lemon chicken with a Greek village salad or just add feta cheese as well!
