Be Smart and Start Your Day with this Healthy Smoothie
Don’t forget to freeze the chopped up banana as this is something to keep in mind when learning how to make a fruit smoothie so you can avoid diluting the smoothie with melting ice. I also chill a large glass in the freezer for 10 minutes and I pre-prepared the espresso shot. This recipe makes 1 large drink or 2 small drinks. If you want something more substantial, you can also add some good quality muesli into the blender.

  1. Don’t forget to have your frozen, sliced banana ready to go and to prepare your espresso shot (1 tablespoon of ground coffee to 1 fl oz (25ml) hot water).
  2. Place all ingredients, except the cinnamon, in your blender and process until smooth.
  3. Pour into a chilled glass and sprinkle the cinnamon on top.
  4. Sip and enjoy.

I use yogurt when I make this basic smoothie recipe so that it is a healthy frozen fruit and yogurt smoothie. If you want to know how to make a smoothie with milk instead,  feel free to substitute the yogurt with milk. O or use almond milk, for a nuttier and dairy- free option. And for a Central American taste, add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of the finished smoothie.
